How do I increase the page width in a WordPress site?
I am new to WordPress and am struggling finding the way to increase the pre-defined width of a page in my template – what should I do? Super detailed explanations on a blog are not working for me, Youtube videos are long and not specific enough for my template… and I am not very patient!
Experiency is a platform matching those in my situation with experts on a digital tool/ software (WordPress in my case) to solve any issue in a very standard format: a 15 minutes video call. I mean, God save the tech blogs like stackoverflow and Aranzulla, but Experiency user personas are different: they want to solve this small issue asap, they get bored with long YouTube tutorials and don’t understand nerdy blogs and directions: they just want someone to help them. And they don’t just want to solve the issue, they want to ask questions and understand what is driving them crazy.
It’s been a long love story with Experiency, that still continues. From the epiphany during a trip to Rome, to the first event in Naples with the brightest people I knew at the time, to the pitch at a Startup Weekend (read more about that startup weekend) miserably failed because of my vehemence. I dedicated full time after graduation, but soon realized I was not ready. Applied again in 2019 to another Startup Weekend in Florence and ended up winning the 3rd place (see pic below) that sparked me again but again I did not manage to go live for a market test – although working with a kick-ass Dev and a bright UI designer. I’m not pursuing it anymore, but you never know – ideas do huge turns and then come back!
Lessons learned
- Try to test you ideas on the market as quick as possible
- Enthusiasm is not enough to keep a team motivated – you need to plan for some short-term achievements
